Engagement Session | Collinsville, Connecticut

Oh wow.

So, yeah.  Wow.  I simply love this engagement session.

I choose to ignore the memory of it being hot & humid as Hades (not that you can tell by looking at this couple — on the other hand, I resembled a drowned rat throughout the shoot).   All I see when I edit and revisit these pics are those huge smiles. Going through the images again and again, there are times when I sit back from the monitor and stare at these two people truly, truly in love.  It looks like that in the photos, and it is like that in real life.  Tyler kept watching Courtney, and not covertly, and I’d have to kinda bark at him to get him to look toward the camera because he couldn’t keep his eyes off her (and it made butterflies flutter in my belly).

These two giggled, grinned, and guffawed.  They whispered, strolled, and nuzzled.  They danced, chased, and hugged.  It was precious precious precious to watch them, and it made me excited to photograph their wedding (which I did two days later).

Collinsville, Connecticut provided the perfect backdrop, with its picturesque Main Street and riverside pedway.  Oh, and Courtney’s Best Woman (and not, I repeat *not*, Maid of Honor) came along on the shoot, so I had to snap a pic of these two besties having fun on the bridge (see her guest appearance below).  I enjoyed watching their friendship almost as much as I loved watching Courtney & Tyler, and I say that having spent a lot of time with them at the wedding as well.  I just don’t think that kind of friendship comes along everyday, and it made me emotional.

So, yeah, I was , and remain, smitten — just all around smitten — by spending some time with these two.
