OC Tanner Holiday Party
The OC Tanner Annual Holiday Party was last week.
Oh, wow.
The store is already ordinarily gorgeous. Amid the hustle & bustle of downtown Salt Lake City highrises sits the charming OC Tanner Flagship Building, epic in its subtle grandeur. Both the front and the back of the shop showcase engaging architectural and stylistic elements reminiscent of European attention to detail, and quite clearly great care was put into making this building representative of the OC Tanner brand.
Indoors you’ll find a sweeping circular staircase encompassing all three floors. I love the bright whiteness of the interior… and I love it even more when it’s been outfitted for the holidays. They were *ready* for their event! Huge green, aqua, and blue baubles were everywhere. Cocktails, culinary delights, and cases of STUNNING jewelry peppered the floors. Conn Curran, a divine (and very attractive!) old-school Frank-Sinatra-style performer serenaded the crowd. After being greeted by doorman donning traditional Russian fur hats (ushankas), OC Tanner friends and family mingled, sipped, tasted, and viewed merchandise. Even Santa was present with his jolly tidings.
Last but not least was the fashion show: several models adorned with hundreds of thousands of dollars of OC Tanner jewels & couture gowns paraded down the grand staircase & among the merrimakers for an amazing (and amazingly guarded, hence the myriad police officers on site!) display of sheer dazzle.
Thank you, OC Tanner, for making me the memory-capturer of your 2013 holidays!
