Richard Lineback | Actor Headshot

Richard Lineback is a character actor.  And, I mean, the truly remarkable kind of character actor that graces both the stage and the screen with equal command.  The kind of character actor that steals a scene with a smirk or a stare and can deliver a rich performance with nothing more than a few words.  The kind of character actor that’s so talented that he’s worked in the industry for nearly 40 years.

You may have seen him in Twister (he played Helen Hunt’s father), The Ring (the creepy innkeeper obsessed with his card trick), Varsity Blues (he played Paul Walker’s father), and other hits like Speed, Natural Born Killers, the Jackal, and Tin Cup.  I personally loved him in Hush (one of my guilty pleasures) as the guy Jessica Lange hires to terrorize Gwyneth Paltrow.

I had the chance to photograph him for a new headshot while I was in Los Angeles recently, and the pleasure was all mine.  We’d be laughing one minute; and then the next moment I’d feel his intensity burning into my lens.  It was incredible to watch him transform from a normal guy to his professional persona.

While not all the images could/would be used for headshots, I’ll always prefer the moments that capture a glimmer of his personality, so I’ve tossed a few of the candids in there as well.  And, of course, V was excited to hop into one of the shots, so I have to include that one as well :).
