Associate Kendal | Utah Photographer
Meeting someone that’s followed your work for years is amazing. Having that person join your team is crazy amazing.
Kendal & I first connected in 2013. She Facebook messaged me, asking about mentoring opportunities; and that initial inquiry led to two years of an online friendship. We checked in with one another every once in a while, and I felt like I got to know her, albeit remotely. I followed her work, watching her grow as a photographer and take risks with composition & editing as she grew into her style. I knew she had both a family and a day job, and I know those responsibilities can preclude throwing yourself into honing your skills & vision. Yet, her portfolio continued to grow and evolve, and it was clear that, despite having so little time for herself, she was committed to her photographic journey.
When I wanted to add an associate photographer to my team, Kendal was the first person that came to mind. Or, should I more accurately say, following Kendal’s work made me want to add her as an associate photographer, and, in turn, I hoped that she might find my brand and shooting opportunities to be a good fit for her needs. Meeting in person after years of online chitter chatter was easy, organic, comfortable, and authentic. Cuz that’s the kind of person she is. Her passion? “Capturing the moments.” She shines by revealing emotion and spontaneity in her subjects and events, and I love how joyous and genuine everyone looks in her photos.
Thank you, Kendal, for sharing your time and talent with us! Please view samples of her work below.
