BTS | Behind The Scenes
We had an incredibly extensive photo session before Christmas. Family of 30, several generations. 6 hair and makeup artists. 4 photographers. 1 UHaul of professional costumes. All on set at a prestigious art gallery in Park City.
It was just plain wild. And I can’t wait to motor through the edit & feature the amazing day in a post.
But, first, I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge one individual that helped make the day super special for me.
I first bumped into Susie Talman on Facebook (yes, this is a social media success story). We connected based on a mutual love of photography, and I got to know her and her work through two years of ‘likes’ and messages. What’s been especially extraordinary for me is seeing how much we’ve both evolved since our first chat: finding our unique voices through our respective lenses and exploring our breadth of interests photographically.
And yet. . . we’d never met face-to-face.
That is, until last weekend, when Susie mentioned she’d be in Park City and I knew she’d be a great addition to the ginormous family shoot. I was — absolutely, positively — right. It was a blast to finally give my ‘old’ friend a hug in real life, and the energy, humor, and warmth she brought to the day was enormously delightful for everyone involved.
Not only did she stay for seven hours, but she also shot some behind the scenes (bts) scenes coverage of me & V, which is a rare gift. Please check out a few highlights below and be sure to Like her Facebook Page!
Thanks, Susie! Now we are *real* friends on top of being Fbook buddies. 🙂
