Deer Valley Celebrity SkiFest

Deer Valley Celebrity SkiFest was this past weekend, and I’m not sure I’ve ever photographed such a FUN fundraiser.

The event benefit the Waterkeeper Alliance, an organization that champions water free from toxins and pollutants.  Celebrities from film, television, music, and the Olympic Games came together for a little light competition and a lot of laughs.  Like, really — a lot of laughs.  This was the most laid-back, genuinely fantastic group of people I’ve ever photographed. The event felt like old friends getting together, catching up while donating their time to a worthy cause.  Additionally, both eBay and internationally renowned artist Josee Nadeau contributed to the fundraising achievements.

The first night of the weekend-long series of events was held at the Montage Deer Valley, where Robert F. Kennedy Jr hosted a welcome party for the VIPs in the Private Residences.  Gorgeous, gorgeous — both the atmosphere and the people!  The SkiFest itself — slalom races near the Silver Lake Lodge at the Deer Valley Resort — was a total blast.  Everyone was in great spirits and a warmed tent, complete with great food & atmosphere, kept everyone from freezing on the mountaintop.  It was just plain delightful to see so many people enjoying themselves while raising money for a great organization.

Huge congratulations to a wonderful crew of people for such a successful event!
