Holiday Family

This beautiful foursome came to Park City on a holiday family visit from Southern California. I worried that they might get cold doing an outdoor shoot mid-winter in Park City… but the word ‘cold’ doesn’t, in a million years, apply to these people.

Instead, despite the chilly weather and abundance of snow, V & I felt the warmth pouring off of them. These people are wonderful — wonderful in general, and wonderful to one another. I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll say it again: it’s so fab to watch parents let their kids be themselves for photo sessions.  With this family, the young siblings ran around, investigating wild bunnies coming out of the barn or climbing fences or rocking the lens with fun poses. Mom & Dad watched on, neither encouraging camera-ham behavior nor discouraging it, so the kids energy and personalities shined through intuitively.

As we walked away, V, who normally doesn’t say much at shoots, broke out of his shell to tell them how much fun he’d had working with them.  My sentiments exactly.
