Massachusetts Family Photographer | Reunion

V & I were back east recently to photograph a wedding in Connecticut.  Since we flew in & out of Boston, I announced on my Facebook page that we’d be in the Boston area and would love to do some local shoots.

Imagine my (extremely smiley) surprise when one of my favorite people in Park City contacted me to say she’d be back east for a special family gathering — and might we be available to capture photos?  UMMMM YES.

Basically, I adore Linda.  Adore, adore.  Aside from her being incredibly supportive of my career (I’ve worked with her here and here and here, to name a few collaborations), she’s an absolutely wonderful human being.  She gives her all to people around her — personally and professionally — in a way that inspires me to be just plain better myself.  Plus, you want to be around her if only to bask in her constant enthusiasm.  And… she’s not the only fabulous person in her family — her entire clan is equally as awesome!  Her husband exudes such warmth and happiness with his huge smile (and gives the best hugs ever) and her daughters have so much passion and intellect.  In sum: they’re an extraordinarily neat bunch.

The chance to work with them on the east coast for Linda’s mom’s 90th birthday meant that I’d get to meet her extended family — and, let me tell you, they’re all every bit as fun and joyful as I’d expect Linda’s relatives to be.  V & I felt great about every aspect of this shoot.  We were, like, legitimately excited driving to Rockport for the shoot (who gets *that* excited about work?!?!), were greeted so kindly when we arrived, and we didn’t stop grinning throughout the entire process.  The gorgeous near-ocean-front house (Linda’s sister’s) was all New England-y and nautical with spectacular views from the several decks and lush landscaping, and a 1 minute walk landed us on the rocky coastline of my fantasies.  Laughs and a relaxed atmosphere created a perfect environment for the evening, and I’m just so happy to have had the chance to be a part of this family, if only for an hour.
