Park City Senior Portraits | Pretty Lexi
Ohhh pretty pretty girl.
So, I love doing senior portraits. I know it’s cheesy, but I feel like I’m capturing a young spirit on the verge of maturity — youthful enough to still be silly & giggly & try anything, but, really, these kiddos are 18 years old and preparing to leave the nest for the next phase of their lives. Oftentimes, these shoots are the parents’ last opportunity to grab ahold of the fleeting ‘this is my BABY!’ moments before their no-longer-little bundle of joy becomes a real-deal adult.
I’m not even a parent and thinking about all of that is enough to make me emotional. I think that’s why I can’t help but enjoy having one or both of the parents with me when I photograph seniors — so that the parents can enjoy the memory of the shoot along with the photos.
This shoot was no exception. I was psyched to have Lexi’s mom on set because a) she’s a hilarious & effervescent ball of fun and b) she had AWESOME ideas for shots! She kept us all (Lexi included) happy & relaxed, and V & I genuinely had a blast with both mother & daughter on this one.
And there’s no denying that Lexi is captivating in the sweetest, kindest, most authentic way. Yes, her skin/eyes/smile/hair/pick-a-feature glows on (and off) camera. But more than that, her gentle & unassuming friendliness is a rare treat. Such a fun session.
