Ventura Family Photographer

As I note on my website, I don’t charge travel fees for my photography.  V & I love to hit the road, and it’s even better when we have a purpose.  Like, we’re nearly booked up for 2014 weddings, and we completely love that most will be taking us to different parts of the US.

When we planned to visit my mom in Southern California for the holidays, we thought it would be fun to book a few shoots up & down the coast — Ventura Family Photographer at your service!  We were psyched to score a few gigs (headshot, family, and one event) but we didn’t feel it utterly necessary to work over our entire trip.  However, in the case of this particular shoot (below), the business was alllllllll pleasure.

You see, this beautiful mama was my matron of honor at my wedding and is pretty much my oldest friend.  I’ve watched her evolve from a Brownie into a pre-teen with braces and kittens on her sweater into a high school athlete into a super fun collegiate into an enormously successful career gal… and, now, into a wife and mother (which is just crazy amazing).  I mean, at one point during this session, her boys were in her lap and she was wiping sand from their face and smoothing their hair, and I had to pull my camera from my eyes and watch her mother them, just for fun.  Just because it’s so incredible.  Just because I can’t believe how happy I am for her.

Her husband is one of the most sincere & friendly guys you’ll ever meet in your life, and V & I just adore them both.  They are our family, truly, and being able to enjoy them as parents is… astounding.  We love you guys!
