Christmas Card Photo | Family Session
Seriously. Just… seriously.
First of all, I’ve made no secret of how much I adore these people. Previous posts highlight shooting their wedding (and their subsequent publication in Utah Bride & Groom as well as The Knot), capturing general family moments, family events, and photographing Ryan’s performances. I’m infinitely grateful to have met them several years ago through a college friend, and although there are about a million things that I love about them, maybe the tip-top quality is how much they make everyone in their lives feel like family.
For this holiday session, I was fired up to get to know more members of the clan, and [spoiler alert] every.single.one of them was as fun, as easy-going, and as photogenic as I’d imagined. Yes, there were baby tears and toddler attitude; and, yes, it was still completely adorable. Mostly, though, I was all butterflies inside watching the men with their sons, daughters, and nephews; and super smiley about brothers, in-laws, parents, husbands, and wives all having a genuinely fun afternoon together. *That’s* what the holidays are about, and these folks have it down pat.
Plus I love the last shot, taken after the shoot. It’s hard work being in front of the lens :).
