Gender Reveal | It’s a Boy!

Believe me: the look on her face when the confetti popped was a reveal in itself. They were both so certain their little bundle of joy was going to be a girl! They even had her name picked out.

I loved watching what seemed like every imaginable emotion cross their faces as *blue* soared into ceiling and fell in rivulets around them. Shock, awe, glances at one another, smiles/laughter erupting from their mouths, and, of course, enveloping each other in joyous hugs and, ‘oh-my-god-I-can’t-believe-it!’s.

It was a sweet, sweet moment to witness. These times, when strangers let us into their lives to capture a something so precious and intimate to them… it’s why I love my job. I feel so lucky that people trust me to tell their very personal stories — I don’t take this honor lightly, and I am overwhelmingly grateful to be gifted such a request. I take it home with me, if you know what I mean. These shoots are part of my conversations with my husband and family; they’re things I think about when I work out or when I’m sitting on a plane. It’s pretty amazing to be welcomed into people’s lives the way we are.
