About Carla

Carla Boecklin-1118

I’m a lucky gal. I live in Park City, the homebase for the Sundance Film Festival.

I’ve had my fair share of luck over the years, too.  I got to work with National Geographic photojournalist Paul Nicklen while he pitched, photographed, and managed a handful of assignments that ended up both in the pages — and on the cover — of the iconic magazine. Although assisting him was the opportunity of a lifetime & provided me with immeasurable experience and insight into the Industry, eventually I was itching to build my own brand. In 2011, I opened my studio in Utah, and I’ve since spent every.single.day simultaneously pinching myself and working like a crazy person.

My images & articles have been featured in 60+ regional, national, and international publications such as Forbes, USA Today, Variety, Salt Lake Magazine, and Drummer Magazine, and I’ve had the most wonderful clients such as Canon, SunshineSachs, Bose, Dentsu, the Olympic Committee, Sundance Resort, Chefdance, Utah Symphony | Utah Opera, the Deer Valley Music Festival, Salt Lake City, and National Geographic photojournalists.
