Boudoir | TGIF
It’s Friday. Get fired up.
These past two weeks, I’ve been all about the boudoir.
Well, maybe it’s been more about bridal. I’ve done bridal boudoir for two lovely ladies. I’m fired up to share a wedding that was published on a popular bridal blog… but they spelled the bride’s name wrong so I’m waiting for them to fix that. I’ve also done two engagement shoots, and I’m in Las Vegas right now en route Los Angeles, where I’ll be photographing a wedding this weekend at a private home just outside of Malibu (awesome).
But, back to the boudoir… man, it’s just so damn pretty. Pretty pretty pretty. I love boudoir shoots. I hope I don’t make my client feel uncomfortable when I get SUPER excited about a shot — “OH YES, hold that, OH YES” — it’s like an Herbal Essence commercial meets skeezy penny-show dude. Okay, so maybe I don’t want to paint that *exact* image of me doing boudoir photography but, to me, there is something so mesmerizing about photographing a woman, dolled up and feeling good. Feeling like herself. Enjoying a moment where she is the focus of everything and the most beautiful vision I’ve ever seen. Maybe it’s her smile when she laughs, the way her nose crinkles… maybe it’s the way she just plain owns her body, undulating with abandon and enthusiasm and giggles. I melt, and I feel like I’m watching something truly special.
