Guardsman Pass Elopement | Utah Wedding Photographer
Eloping to Park City? Give me a call! Let’s talk location, flowers, and a really fun, celebratory photo shoot.
When this St. Louis-based bride reached out to me about her destination elopement, I was all.over. these two. She was suuuuuuuuper laid back and open to suggestions. One obviously important part of the elopement was that they were going to read their vows to one another & exchange rings, and they wanted a certain amount of privacy while they did that, so, off the bat, I couldn’t help but think that Guardsman Pass would be a neat nook for their ceremony — a gorgeous spot that provided the intimacy they needed.
Another suggestion was to grab a bouquet and boutonniere from Tulips & Thyme, located in Park City. After all, you simply can’t get married without some flowers! They *pop* on camera and make you feel all fancy, and this arrangement in particular makes me drool. When I asked the bride what colors she’d told Kati (the florist) she’d wanted, she said, ‘oh, ALL of them.’ Ha — well, Kati certainly delivered.
But, really, more than the location and the flowers (and, even, that perfectly simple-yet-elegant made-for-an-elopement dress), the stars of the afternoon were the bride & groom, who, I think, barely noticed V & I were there. They were SO happy, comfortable, smiley, lovey, smoochy… they made it really easy for me & V to not only capture their feelings but, also, to have a good time ourselves. We really appreciated that as we hauled around our Mark IIIs (and our new Contax 645 for a few film shots!).
A stay at the St. Regis Deer Valley, massages & bike rides, and cocktails on Main Street helped round out their newlywedded bliss in our little mountaintown. Congratulations, you two!
