Pure adorability.

This family contacted me from New Orleans about doing a shoot during their trip to Solitude for the 2014 holidays.  I wondered if I should ask them to come to Park City for the session.  I mean, as a Parkite, I’m eager to showcase my mountain town, and I didn’t want them to miss the chance to see some of the iconic PC sites while they were in Utah.  Ultimately, though, V & I decided to head to them at Solitude.  I absolutely love the area — up there, I feel *thisclose* to the mountains, and the beautiful trees everywhere are simultaneously cozy and awe-inspiring.

This family made it more than worth the trek.  The thing is: it was 14 degrees and, during our drive up, I could only imagine how two little southern boys would feel about being out in the freezing cold for our session.  Two of our previous holiday shoots had ultimately changed from outdoor to indoor due to the cold, and although I was looking forward to being outside at Solitude, I didn’t think we’d be met with joyous faces.

Oh, how wrong I was.  There was nothing but enthusiasm all around from the moment we said hello!  Just the cutest, sweetest, most fun-loving, happy kids — happy everyone.  V & I giggled to one another from behind our lenses throughout every.single.second.  And, an hour later, Team Family was still fired up.  Not one complaint, not one temper lost in the frigid temps — and, to boot!, the boys even wanted ice cream!  SO, yeah, this family was completely & totally precious, and I love this shoot.
