Winter Maternity Shoot | Snowy Cuteness

When this couple reached out to me about doing an outdoor, winter maternity session while they were on a babymoon in Park City, I was pretty fired up. What a cute idea — I mean, seriously! Although I love me a traditional maternity session (indoors, intimate, not too much clothing, delicate lighting), the chance to use Mother Nature as a backdrop was an opportunity I wanted to totally rock. And when they showed up to our shoot wearing the perfect colors/accessories to pop in the snow, I was doubly fired up. Plus… she did her own hair & makeup, and I loved all those soft long curls against her red & grey.

That said — accessories & color & gorgeous hair aside — the true beauty of this shoot is the connection between the two of them. Look at them. Scroll down and take a sec to look at their faces, their smiles, their laughter, and their closeness in every single pic. Just pure coziness, which isn’t super easy to pull off when it’s freezing outside and you’re not bundled up in parkas (and, to boot, you’re ready to give birth). You’ve got to be lit up from the inside to reflect that kind of warmth in the lens, and these two make me feel alllllllll kinds of cuddly. 🙂
