Park City Family Shoot | The Sophie Show
This shoot was *supposed* to be a family shoot, but little Sophie had something else in mind :).
I jest, I jest… but, the truth is: this little girl stole the show! Nearly from the first moment we all arrived at the McPolin white barn in Park City, Sophie was a bouncy, happy heap of funness. She clapped her hands, kissed family members, held hands, jumped in joy, and ran in enthusiasm. It basically melted me — I just wanted to capture all that delight. I’m not a mom, so for all I know kids are that happy all the time. But, I do know that I felt all lit up inside around her — a vicarious exhilaration — and it was all I could do to keep up & click the shutter button.
Actually? I felt that way around this entire family, not only Sophie. There’s a lot of love among them — easy, flowing, authentic love. Getting to know them has been a great pleasure, and I’m fired up to be photographing the entire extended family over Christmastime!
